He is just an idiot or madman. The best tactic to deal with such a crowd is to ignore them. BTW, I've just red again "Russia Under the Old Regime" by Pipes which proves that Russians simply could not have any human rights as they are totalitarian and paternalistic in their nature, from religion to arts.
